They'll be performing

Respighi's PINES OF ROME

A work of this challenge and iconic stature deserves a listen!

You know the work well --- Just picture flying whales in Disney's Fantasia 2000.

Alana Benson and Robert Zeng prepare for iconic clarinet features in PINES OF ROME

This was also the work that had a major influence in John Williams' original film score to Star Wars.

PINES of ROME is a monumental four-movement tone poem depicting the composer's thoughts while contemplating pines from 4 different locations in Rome.
