We'll be presenting a program celebrating early cinema and music that influenced their film scores. The concert will conclude with a modern western movie with our very own student-composed musical score performed LIVE -- plus the special guest introduction by film director/historian, David Keihn! 

Here's the complete program:

-- Rimsky-Korsekov's "Scheherazade, the first movement  

-- 1902 film with a live score: Georges Meles's "Trip to the Moon" in original hand-painted color - live score based on Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture." 

Intermission  

-- Visual music of Raymond Scott, who influenced early animated film scores. 

-- A modern silent western film with our live student-composed film score:  David Kiehn's "Broncho Billy and the Bandit's Secret."
